The video shows Har refusing to take the sobriety test.

The lawmaker who represents Kapolei and Makakilo was arrested last week after going the wrong way on South Beretania Street near Piikoi Street after 10 p.m.

Officer: “I also smell a slight smell of alcohol on your breath. Because of that I’m gonna have my partner ask if you’d like to participate in the standardized sobriety test.”
Sharon Har: “I don’t want to.”
Officer: “Let me explain first, let me explain. If you refuse to take the test.”
Har: “Just take me in.”

Officer: “My understanding is you’re refusing to take the field sobriety test.”
Har: “I’m sorry.”
Officer: “You are? Okay, go ahead come on out.”

At times, Har was apologetic and talked about how embarrassed she was.

Officer: “Your car is kind of parked within the line do you want me to park it properly here?”
Har: “No, it’s okay. I’m embarrassed right now.”
Officer: Do you want us to roll up your window though?”
Har: “If you could that would be great. I’m sorry, you guys.”

Officer: “Are you sick injured or taking any medication? Okay.”

Har: “Ow, ow, ow, you’re hurting me. Black Lives Matter.”

Har has apologized for the arrest and said she was battling an upper respiratory illness and had taken cold medicine with codeine and then had a beer with dinner. We’ve reached out to her attorney for comment.
