HONOLULU (KITV4) -- The man accused of killing a security guard in downtown Honolulu in early May has been deemed mentally fit to stand trial.
Razi White is charged with murder in the death of 57-year-old Michael Stubbs. White, 30, allegedly hit Stubbs in the head with a metal water bottle on May 3, causing Stubbs to fall and hit his head.
Stubbs was taken to the hospital in critical condition and died from his head injuries just over a week after the incident on May 12.
A fitness hearing was held on Oct. 13 before Judge Christine E. Kuriyama.
White will remain behind bars at the Oahu Community Correctional Center until his trial, which has been scheduled for the week of Dec. 12. The deadline for pretrial motions is Nov. 14. Judge Kevin T. Morikone will preside of the hearing.
