The state of Hawai’i will be receiving $339 million in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), U.S. Senator Brian Schatz (D-Hawai’i) announced in a press release on Friday.

WASHINGTON (KITV4)— The state of Hawaiʻi will be receiving $339 million in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), U.S. Senator Brian Schatz (D-Hawaiʻi) announced in a press release on Friday.

According to Sen. Schatz’s office, the funds come from the DOT’s Department of Transportation’s newly launched Bridge Replacement, Rehabilitation, Preservation, Protection, and Construction Program, which was funded by November 2021’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
