Hawaiʻi REALTORS® Names Lurline Johnson REALTOR® of the Year
Lurline Johnson has been involved in real estate sales and property management for 22 years. She works tirelessly to support the highest standards in the real estate industry and is an active participant in numerous volunteer and community initiatives.
Hawaiʻi REALTORS®, a leading statewide professional trade organization for the real estate industry, has named Lurline Johnson (ABR, CRB, CRS, GRI, RMP) the 2021 Hawaiʻi REALTOR® of the Year.
Each year since 1967 the award has recognized an outstanding REALTOR® in Hawai‘i for work in the interest of fellow REALTORS®, the profession and the community.
“Lurline is not only an experienced REALTOR® who works tirelessly to support the highest standards in the real estate industry, she also is an active participant in numerous volunteer and community initiatives. We are pleased to recognize her as the 2021 Hawaiʻi REALTOR® of the Year,” said Derek Lau, president of Hawaiʻi REALTORS®.

As vice president of Property Profiles, Inc., Johnson oversees the company’s property management division, which handles more than 1,200 rental accounts. She also assists agents in sales transactions as the broker-in-charge.

Johnson has been involved in real estate sales and property management for 22 years. She previously worked in insurance sales and marketing. She also founded the handyman business Island Home Detailing with her husband Jimmy. Johnson was born and raised in Honolulu and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Hawai‘i.
Johnson serves on the Honolulu Board of REALTORS® Mediation Committee and HiCentral MLS Board. She previously served on the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM) Oahu Chapter board, including as its 2007 president, and as the 2013 president for the Hawai‘i CRB Chapter. She was a member of the Honolulu Board of REALTORS® Professional Standards Grievance Committee for 6 years, and is a Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) instructor. In addition, she was recently part of the Hawai‘i REALTORS® taskforce in support of Act 57. Johnson was named the 2019 REALTOR® of the Year Award by the Honolulu Board of Realtors.
Her community work includes supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities, The Children’s Cancer Foundation, the Hawaiian Humane Society, Poi Dogs & Popoki, as well as REALTOR® Action Day and the Hawai‘i REALTORS® Charitable Foundation.
