KAHULUI, Hawaii (KHON2) — The Hawaii Tourism Authority is addressing the influx of visitors and rental car shortage on the Valley Island with a new shuttle service.

A Polynesian Adventure Tours bus that will leave Kahului Airport three times a day to drop off passengers.

The service is called the Maui Aloha Shuttle.

It runs from July 3 to July 17 as a pilot program that could be extended through the end of summer.

There will be a ticket counter to buy tickets at the baggage claim area at the airport.

It’ll cost passengers going to West Maui $50, and $35 to Wailea.
