Hawaiʻi Symphony Orchestra Returns

Sheraton “Starlight” Series at the Waikiki Shell continues through August 2021. The scenic venue and music under the stars performed by a live, professional orchestra, make for a magnificent summer evening.

On May 14th, the Hawai‘i Symphony Orchestra performed for a live audience for the first time in 439 days. The program at the Waikiki Shell before a distanced audience featured works of Beethoven, Mozart, and local composer Michael-Thomas Foumai.

“I’m not sure who was more excited, the audience or the musicians!” said HSO Executive Director Dave Moss. “It was amazing!” exclaimed patron Jean McIntosh. “It was honestly one of the best things I have done in a while and we are so lucky to have this here in Hawai‘i.”
