MAUI (KITV4) - Maui Mayor Michael Victorino released a statement on Sunday announcing his run for a second four-year term as mayor.
“Even with the extraordinary challenges we’ve faced with COVID-19, fires, floods, economic uncertainty, and more, the future of Maui County looks very promising,” Mayor Victorino said. “I’m running to continue the progress we’ve made and to keep the County moving forward. This is my home and I love the people of this community. Serving as your mayor has been the honor of my lifetime.”
His plans during his second term will be released once he formally files for re-election next month. But plans to revitalize Maui county with his Four Pillars of Recovery Plan.
“I am committed to working with our community to build a more equitable and self-reliant future for the people of Maui County while perpetuating our local way of life,” said Mayor Victorino. “A healthy community needs a healthy economy. Safe-guarding the health and well-being of our residents continue to be my top priority. ”
