U.S. Fish and Wildlife drafts plan to protect 50 Hawaii endangered and threatened species

The plan covers 35 plants, 13 invertebrates and two birds to prevent their extinction.

HONOLULU (KITV4) -- The Pacific Islands Fish and Wildlife Office has published a draft recovery plan for 50 endangered species within the Hawaiian archipelago which covers 35 plants, 13 invertebrates and two birds.

“This recovery plan for 50 species underscores just how important proactive, community-based partnerships are to our work in preventing extinctions and supporting recovery,” said Shannon Estenoz, Fish and Wildlife and Parks Assistant Secretary.
