Removal of Invasive Vegetation to Temporarily Close Historic Park

Temporary closures are scheduled this month at Kaloko-Honokōhau National Historical Park while crews remove invasive, non-native vegetation.

The park is slated to be closed on Monday, July 26. Closures include Hale Ho’okipa Visitor Contact Station and parking lot and the main trail from Hale Ho’okipa to the Honokōhau shoreline.

The closure is meant to provide public safety as crews a helicopter to remove invasive vegetation. For further information, call the Kaloko-Honokōhau National Historical Park visitor center at 808-326-9057.
