Kākou Collective is the studio of Native Hawaiian surface pattern designer and illustrator Kea Peters, who is inspired by Hawai‘i’s nature and culture.

Kakou Collective Kea PetersPeters says her mission is to share her “love and knowledge of local culture in Hawaiʻi, to spark creativity, and to bring Hawaiʻiʻs backyard to the forefront.”

Her products include stationery, notebooks, stickers, washi tape (traditional Japanese paper) and more. Her virtual workshops can be found on Facebook and other sites.

Peters says she “hopes to create feelings of nostalgia and connection to Hawai‘i” with all she creates and does.
