Waikīkī opens first all-rental property in decades

Brookfield Properties

The first all-rental property in Waikīkī in decades has opened.

Līlia Waikīkī sits across from the International Market Place on Kūhiō Avenue. The apartment opened their doors to its first residents on April 30. It is owned by Brookfield Properties.

The apartment includes over 363 market-rate rental units and 38 affordable units.

The average unit is 432-square-feet for studios, 651-square-feet for one bedroom, 1,000-square-feet for two bedrooms, and 1,216-square-feet for three bedrooms.

Monthly rents start at $2,300 for studios to $6,255 for three-bedroom units. Renters must sign a 12-month lease.

The old Food Pantry will return as a two-story grocery store. It will now be called Waikīkī Market, operated by Food Pantry Ltd., and will be the resort area’s only full-service grocery store.
