HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - The state Health Department reported three additional COVID-19 fatalities on Wednesday, pushing the death toll from the virus in Hawaii to 312.

Two of the deaths were on Oahu while one was in Maui County.

The state Health Department said one of those who died on Oahu was a woman between 40 and 49; the other was a man between 50 and 59. Both had been hospitalized.

The Maui death was a man between 60 and 69 and also had been hospitalized.

Meanwhile, there were 106 new infections statewide.

Of those, 73 are on Oahu, 11 in Maui County, seven on the Big Island and two on Kauai. There were also 13 residents diagnosed out-of-state.

It’s the ninth consecutive day Hawaii has seen a triple-digit rise in new cases.

With the new infections, the number of cases in the state since the pandemic began grew to 23,733. There have been 2,292 cases in the last 14 days.
