Office of Hawaiian Affairs names Carmen Hulu Lindsey chairwoman

Carmen Hulu Lindsey today was named the next chairwoman of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs Board of Trustees.

Lindsey, who has represented Maui on the board for eight years, replaces former chair and veteran OHA trustee Colette Machado, who lost her reelection after 23 years on the board.

Lei Ahu Isa was selected as vice chair of the board, while Kalei Akaka was tabbed as chair of the Committee on Beneficiary Advocacy and Empowerment and John Waihee IV was named to lead the Committee on Resource Management.
